Blue Cross Blue Shield Resources

If you are enrolled in a BCBSIL medical plan, create a Blue Access for Members account to help you manage your health and healthcare, locate an in-network doctor or hospital, review your claim status and history, view and print your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements, and print a temporary ID card or request a new one. You also have access to the following programs:

  • Blue365 Member Discount Program: Health-related discounts, including products, health and fitness clubs, and weight loss programs.
  • Educational resources: Support and information on adult, perinatal, and children’s wellness guidelines.
  • Fitness Program: Fitness membership from a network of gyms that fit your budget and lifestyle. Membership is month to month, from $19 to $239 per month.
  • Well on Target: Tools and resources to help you manage your health, including:
    • Health Assessments to assist you in evaluating your health status, risks, and habits
    • Digital Self-Management Programs, lessons, and challenges to help you reach your wellness goals
    • Blue Points℠ participation to earn points by completing activities and achieving goals. Redeem these points online for various rewards
    • Well on Target portal or app to track healthy habits and sync your fitness and nutrition devices
  •  Mental Health Hub: Educational materials and an optional assessment that can help you find the best solution for your needs. Plus, access to mental health providers who treat:
    • Substance use disorders
    • Pediatric mental health
    • Eating disorders
    • Obsessive-compulsive disorders
    • Other mental health concerns
  • MDLive: 24/7 virtual, on-demand care for you and your eligible dependents. You can consult with a board-certified physician by phone or video from your mobile device, tablet, or computer for nonemergency issues such as colds, coughs, allergies, rashes, sinus infections, and more. The doctor can offer treatment advice, prescribe medication (in most states), or recommend whether you should go to urgent care or the emergency room. To get started, visit the MDLive website or go to the App Library and download the MDLive app.
  • Nurseline: Available 24/7, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to answer basic health questions related to symptoms, medication side effects, when to see a doctor or go to the emergency room, and more. Call 1-800-299-0274 to speak to a nurse toll-free.
  • Ovia Health: Education, support, and guidance to better understand and effectively manage menopause. Go to the App Library and download the Ovia, Ovia Pregnancy, and Ovia Parenting apps. You’ll have access to health trackers, videos, tips, coaching, and support for fertility, pregnancy, parenting, and menopause.
  • Wondr: A free, clinically proven program that helps participants lose weight, sleep better, reduce stress, and more. This skills-based digital weight loss program teaches you simple skills backed by behavioral science to improve your long-term health and well-being. Kaiser Resources

If you are enrolled in a Kaiser Permanente regional plan, you have access to a variety of wellness resources at no cost, including:

  • One-on-one health coaching
  • Group wellness classes on various topics like nursing newborns, bereavement support, diabetes support and education, fitness classes, and more
  • Fitness memberships and discounts through ClassPass, Active&Fit Direct, and ChooseHealthy
  • Healthy recipes library with over 600 recipes
  • Self care apps such as Calm and myStrength

Cancer Care
